From another network, check that your VPN or Tailscale is connected. A rejected password shows a different message and never retries on its own.

NomadVNC asks for a new password and does not retry the old one. Standard VNC only uses the first 8 characters.

On a Mac, set the VNC password under Screen Sharing, then Computer Settings. In NomadVNC, enter your Mac account's short name under Add macOS Username.

That Tailscale runs inside NomadVNC, only carries NomadVNC traffic, and is separate from the Tailscale app. An account is only for syncing saved computers between devices and sharing them by email.

No. NomadVNC connects to any VNC server. NomadVNC Host is an optional Windows download that shares a PC's screen, including the sign-in screen, and starts at boot. It is a separate file on the release page and updates separately from the viewer.
